Hello hello,

Here we are, at long last!

MANGIA X3 GOES ON SALE TOMORROW AT 10am ET/ 7am PT :)

Life has been absolutely bonkers lately ~ and I’m mad about it. There ain’t no rest for the wicked!! Sometimes I try to believe I’m not wicked and then debris from some uncovered truck eight hundred feet in front of you spews a fist size fucking rock onto the highway and hits your sweet baby Honda right in the face and shatters your windshield. The crack is 3 feet long, I have glass shatters on my dashboard!

But I’m safe, and there are worse things.

I’ve been writing this episode of the newsletter for the release of Product Numero Uno for months and of course my less-than-a-year-old computer figures last week was a perfect time for the screen to go blank. Black screen, caps lock does still work, click click click, HELLO?? Two appointments and a wiped laptop later, here I am digging into my brain trying to remember my thoughtful design notes that have been lost to the technology gods.

But life’s a bitch, and there are worse things.

STILL REALLY MAD THOUGH! Fuming, really!!

There ain’t no rest for the wicked and this isn’t new info. We’ve known that life kicks you when you’re down for a long time. Seemingly since the start of this process when I designed a candle with an angry little face and a mind-clearing scent.

Described by folks as a “pokémon sex candle,” “rage candle,” and also “the vibiest candle I’ve seen in a while,” Mangia x3 is about finding a quiet moment to do exactly those things. Vibe, rage, have pokémon sex! Whatever you want. In this world where it’s hard to catch a break, I made this candle as a way to focus and release tension. Light ‘er up and get into those feelings! She won’t judge you, she’s got your back. (The candle you paid for, that is.)

It also just smells really good, with floral high notes and a leathery undertone. Like a well maintained garden or one of those social club powder rooms that has a couch inside it.

WE HAVEN’T EVEN GOTTEN TO THE EQUALLY EXCITING MANUFACTURING COMPONENT IN ADDITION TO THE PRODUCT ITSELF!!

The packaging is reusable :D

When purchased, the candle comes in a hand-made pouch. It can be reused as a jewelry bag, glasses case, a traveling bag for skin creams. Your cat’s bindle. I don’t know, go crazy with it.

They are all different (but most of them are blue).

One last thing I think is important to say in these dark times: if you’re debating between spending your extra fifty bucks this month on sending aid to Palestine or this, by all means, send it to the Middle East. But if you’ve been in need of something to absorb your quietly seething anger at the world, this might help. I know it’s helped me.

We’ve put a lot of love and hard work into these, and I hope you can feel that. The candles are made so beautifully by Cinthya and team at Unique Custom Candles, who helped me craft the scent and create the design. I’m working my fingers to the bone making these pouches, and I’m so proud of what we have to offer. It’s been a long time coming and I can’t wait for them to be yours <3
